Wireshark integration with Qt

For my handheld embedded device I want to use WireShark network analyser to measure the Data, VOIP and IPTV performance testing. But I don't want all the features of WireShark. So I'm planning to use the WireShark library API and for the GUI, I am planning to use Qt. Can anyone comment on this? Is this the right decision? The platform I'll be using is Atom with Embedded Linux.
